-- WebMessenger announced today the release of an enhanced BlackBerry client
and IBM Lotus Instant Messaging gateway for the WebMessenger Mobile Platform
(WMP). WebMessenger has engaged in a long term pilot of the software that
has driven the development of enhanced features and platform support making
the WebMessenger IM solution well suited to Lotus Instant Messaging deployments
for mobile workers who must operate in a heterogeneous IM world. WebMessenger further announced the forthcoming release of a version
of
WebMessenger Mobile Platform for the Linux operating system and
IBM eServer(TM) deployments. Currently, the WMP server
is available for Windows and Intel deployments. These
new releases will provide customers with increased
flexibility in choosing a feature functionality set for enterprise mobile instant messaging and deployment platforms to meet their
unique needs.
