WebMessenger announces free business-class mobile IM for BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Symbian and Palm devices. Reaffirms commitment to the Symbian S60 platform with launch of new products and services.

WebMessenger, Inc., an enterprise mobile messaging software and services company, today announced they have opened up free downloads of their market proven WebMessenger Mobile IM clients as well as free business-class IM service for mobile professionals who use Blackberry, MS Windows Mobile, Symbian, and Palm PDAs and smartphones. The free IM service provides single client access to AIM, Google, MSN, Skype, and Yahoo.

This move to free client downloads and mobile service addresses the growing demand from business professionals to take advantage of productivity gains obtained through presence-enabled real-time communications. The free service is intended for those business professionals who use smartphones and PDAs for personal and professional purposes within the bounds of corporate communication and IT policies. For those requiring enterprise grade solutions, WebMessenger offers a number of options to fit all needs whether it be access to existing enterprise collaboration platforms such as Microsoft LCS/OCS, IBM Lotus Sametime, and Jabber XCP, or small businesses that need a self-contained messaging solution. The free business class IM service runs on WebMessenger’s recently released Mobile Carrier Service Network, a high scalability and reliability presence and communications platform.

In conjunction with the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, WebMessenger also announces their renewed commitment as a Symbian Platinum Partner in order to address the needs of Symbian-based enterprise solutions globally. WebMessenger executives will be present in Barcelona to meet with those in the Symbian community interested in enterprise collaboration and business communications management solutions including operators, OEMs, channel partners, and enterprise representatives.

Joe Naylor, president of WebMessenger, said; "We are excited to open up our long-standing WebMessenger Mobile IM service for free usage so that more business professionals can experience the true advantages of presence and real time messaging on their mobile devices. As WebMessenger turns its core focus towards extending enterprise collaboration and unified communications platforms into the mobile domain, we want to leverage our strong assets for the benefit of mobile business professionals everywhere. Additionally, we are reaffirming our commitment to the fast growing base of business users who increasingly rely on their Symbian-based smartphones.
